Call for posters

EuroSys 2009 is holding a poster session to foster lively, informal, and in-depth interactions about a range of technical topics. We solicit submissions for combined posters/work-in-progress talks from all areas of interest to the EuroSys attendees.

Important dates

Submission deadline: 15th March 2009 (23:00 GMT)
Authors notification: 20th March 2009
Submission (accepted) final version: 26th March 2009 (23:00 GMT)
EuroSys WiP/poster sessions: 2nd April 2009

Submission

  1. Upload at: http://kauai.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/submit-wiposter
  2. Requirements: PDF, formatted for US letter or A4 paper, no longer than 2 pages (or 3 pages if one page is a draft of the poster itself).
  3. Recommendations: summarize a problem, explain why the problem is a problem, describe the key new idea(s), and discuss how these ideas address the problem. Graphics are encouraged. Focus on one key idea. Include a draft of your poster, reduced to A4/letter size.

Authors of accepted WiP/posters will give a short presentation at the conference, be provided with a poster slot, and will have a PDF file of their WiP/poster published on the conference web site.

As you would expect, EuroSys 2009 applies ACM's policies for plagiarism, submission confidentiality, reviewer anonymity, and prior and concurrent submission for posters/WiP talks. (A WiP/poster is unlikely to be considered prior publication for a paper submission at other venues.)  Submissions accompanied by nondisclosure agreement forms will not be considered. All submissions will be treated as confidential prior to publication on the conference web site, which will happen no earlier than 31 March 2009.  Submitting a poster/WiP requires that at least one author will travel to the conference to present it if it's accepted.

Authors of accepted EuroSys 2009 papers are automatically granted a slot for a poster. They do not need to submit an application via this process.
